Resume Matching

The Resume Matching tool uses AI to instantly compare a candidate’s resume against a job description (JD). It provides an objective percentage match score, showing where the candidate excels and where they may fall short—helping you make informed screening decisions before outreach.

Step 1: Upload or Paste Resume

Choose one of two ways to provide the candidate’s information:

  • Upload Resume: Click Choose File and upload a PDF, DOCX, or similar file. The system automatically parses the text.
  • Click Paste Resume? and paste the raw text into the text box.

Step 2: Paste Job Description

Paste the full job description into the provided text box.

  • You may edit the JD text to remove unnecessary sections (e.g., company introduction) so the AI focuses only on the skills, experience, and requirements.
  • Once both steps are complete, click Match Resume to start the analysis.

Once both Step 1 and Step 2 are complete, click the Match Resume button to begin the analysis.

Matching Result

The results give you a complete, data-driven breakdown of alignment between the candidate and the role.

Match Percentage & Analysis

The top section provides the overall score and key analytical data:

  • Overall Match Score: The primary metric showing how closely the resume aligns with the JD.
  • Criteria Breakdown: Match percentages separated by categories such as:
    • Years of Experience
    • Skills
    • Education
  • Top Matched Keywords: Highlights the exact skills and terms from the JD found in the resume.
Visual Comparison

Two detailed tabs provide full transparency:

  • Analyzed Resume: Displays the parsed resume text.
  • Analyzed Job Description: Displays the job description used for matching.

The system applies color coding and highlighting throughout both documents to show: – Where the resume meets the required skills – Which qualifications are missing – How often key terms appear.
This provides instant visual confirmation of the AI’s findings.
